What does regular annual service cover?
Regular annual service at AMK Service includes document control, an inspection of control devices, an inspection of electrical wiring and hydraulic hoses, change of hydraulic oil, an inspection of the drive unit and cylinders, inspection of drive unit attachment to chassis, an inspection of the plateau, greasing, and control testing.
The cost of a regular annual service with a hydraulic oil change and no additional spare parts is 120.00 EUR. Following the service, we provide a report on the inspection, including any deficiencies discovered, and replace the label for the regular annual service.
The risk is mainly posed by movable elements that are used every day and those that are most exposed to vibrations and moisture.
It is worth asking about the centre pillars, which can be very weak and unable to support higher loads in some upgrades. AMK Servis upgrades allow you to add a reinforced upper profile, resulting in a construction that is strong enough that it does not require a central pillar and does not obstruct unloading. It is also recommended that the auxiliary chassis be assembled rather than welded, as this increases its strength and provides a solid foundation for the entire upgrade.
Quality installation also takes time because it ensures that the upgrade is waterproof in all corners and that it will be just as solid after a few years of intensive use. In the event that an upgrade manufactured by AMK Servis sustains minor damage, only the damaged element can be replaced, and the upgrade will function as if it were brand new.

Hydraulic or electric van lift (PV32)
One of the most common conversions is a hydraulic or electric van lift (PV32) in conjunction with wheelchair fastening rails (PV35), wheelchair fastening straps (PV36), personal seat belt adjustment (PV25), and sometimes an adjusted headrest (PV26) or additional mounting seat in the van (PV50).
Vehicle floor deepening (PV28)
Another useful conversion is the deepening of the vehicle floor to achieve a greater internal height (PV28). This conversion also includes elements similar to the one above: the wheelchair fastening rails (PV35), wheelchair fastening straps (PV36), personal seat belt adjustment (PV25), and the ramp (PV30).
Ramp (manual operation) (PV30)
This conversion method is similar to that of a hydraulic or electric van lift. The other elements are the same: wheelchair fastening rails (PV35), wheelchair fastening straps (PV36), personal seat belt adjustment (PV25). When entering and exiting the vehicle, the ramp requires more space (approximately 3m behind the vehicle).
Manual operation of the vehicle with automatic transmission
If the vehicle is converted to manual control, we usually use a manual brake and gas lever (PV2), a ball or fork on the steering wheel (PV11) and sometimes also a guard - barrier to protect the brake, gas, and clutch pedals (PV47). If a person finds it difficult to move from the wheelchair to the vehicle, a folding bench can be added to the side of the car seat, which can be mechanically (PV48) or electrically adjustable (PV49) if the height of the wheelchair and the car seat differs significantly.
The majority of the conversions are designed to work together to provide a better driving experience for the driver and passengers. Along with each of them, all of the required certified safety elements must be installed in such a way that they reduce the risk of injury in the event of a traffic accident. The vehicle's floor deepening enables the transport of a person in a wheelchair even in smaller vehicles where this would not normally be possible due to height.
What does floor deepening of a vehicle look like? The entire bottom of the rear section (trunk) is replaced with a new, lower one when the vehicle is deepened. This lowers the vehicle's bottom and thus raises the internal height, allowing for a more comfortable wheelchair ride and an unobstructed view of a person in a wheelchair through a window.
Greater internal height
Despite its small size, the vehicle can be very comfortable for a wheelchair user. It provides an unobstructed view out the window as well as communication with other passengers. You only need to be cautious on more difficult terrain because the vehicle's rear is now lower.
The person enters the vehicle via a ramp, which can be much shorter due to the lower height at the back. As a result, it is suitable for use even in cities with limited space for manoeuvring. The ramp is lightweight and simple to fold after use. If the person is not driving in the back, the trunk is folded so that the bottom is flattened as if it had not been adapted at all.
Installation of the entire package
Because the entire package of various modifications is installed when the vehicle's bottom is deepened, they function as a cohesive whole. The seat belts used to attach the wheelchair also serve as a seat belt when driving the wheelchair over the ramp into the vehicle, preventing it from driving backwards. Which vehicle is suitable?
Vehicles with a "boxy" rear end are particularly suitable for deepening: Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Rifter (and formerly Partner), Ford Tourneo Connect, Renault Kangoo, Fiat Doblo, and Volkswagen Caddy. It makes no difference whether the vehicle is new or used.
The number of passengers varies depending on the vehicle's size. On some longer models, the entire back row of seats can be left in place, whereas on smaller models, only the third seat of the back row is used, with the other two folded down. Even if a wheelchair user is not in the vehicle, the entire back row of seats can be used without interruption.

1. Will a disabled person drive or be a passenger in the vehicle?
When a disabled person operates a vehicle, the maximum degree of reliability and safety, as in a normal vehicle, must be ensured, as well as driving comfort. The same is true if the disabled person will be a passenger on the trip. It is preferable to have as much space around the steering wheel and along the middle pillar as possible for the installation of manual controls. 5. Will the person in the wheelchair have to transfer from it to the vehicle?

7. Does the disabled person have an assistant with them?
An assistant is undeniably helpful and makes daily use of the vehicle and equipment much easier. However, it is also important to consider their health and ensure that they do not lift excessively heavy loads.
8. Do you already have a vehicle that you wish to convert?
If you already own a vehicle, it is best if the company that will be converting it inspects it and advises you on your options. If you discover that the vehicle does not suit you or does not allow for a suitable conversion, it is wise to consider purchasing another more suitable vehicle, as it will serve you so well for a long time.
9. What might a person with a disability require in the future?
Also, before making a final decision, consider what the disabled person might require in the future. Every six years, the beneficiaries are due for co-financing. Following this period, the process of applying to the administrative unit, review at Soča, and obtaining security documents is repeated.

Remember that a traditional tail lift can also serve as a replacement for the rear doors, saving you time opening and closing them.
