We are concerned about wheelchair users' safety in the same way that car manufacturers are concerned about passenger safety. We use a three-point seat belt−based on the original belts in the vehicle.
This provides stability for adults who are able to sit upright. If this is not the case, such as in children or unstable persons, additional H-shaped chest straps are used for fastening. You can find it on the Vehicle Adjustment list under seat belt adjustments PV25.
The headrest can provide additional safety and comfort.
If the vehicle requires an additional seat next to the wheelchair that cannot be accommodated by the existing original seats, an additional seat - PV 50 - can be installed. The backrest tilt can be adjusted up to 30 ° with the seat. When not in use, the seat can be folded and rotated against the wall, or it can be removed from the vehicle.
There are two ways to attach a wheelchair to a vehicle. The first passes through floor slats and seat belts that can be manual, self-winding, or electric. The more modern design, on the other hand, employs a central clamping system that is entirely electrically operated.
